Galle Dutch Fort

Southern city of Galle and its Fortifications Tourist Attraction Palace Galle is a city on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. It’s known for Galle Fort, the fortified old city founded by Portuguese colonists in the 16th century. Stone sea walls, expanded by the Dutch, encircle car-free streets with architecture reflecting Portuguese, Dutch and British rule. Notable buildings include the 18th-century Dutch Reformed Church.  It is a historical, archaeological and architectural heritage monument, which even after more than 432 years maintains a polished appearance, due to extensive reconstruction work done by Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka.

Sacred City of Anuradhapura

  Sacred City of Anuradhapura  UNESCO WOLD HERITAGE  Anuradhapura is where ancient civilization began in Sri Lanka and is the hub for Buddhism. Several well preserved ruins of monasteries, monuments and other ancient places are explored by tourists. 2000 year old holy Bo Tree under which Lord Buddha attained enlightenment and also, Anuradhapura has discovered most number of Buddha’s relics according to historical records. Ancient City of Sigiriya

Sigiriya, the wonder of the ancient world Sigiriya, also called "The Lion Rock", is both a rock fortress and palace constructed by King Kasyapa at the end of the 5th Century. A gateway is built in the form of enormous lion, hence the name Lion's Rock. The palace on the flat top of this rock is decorated with colorful frescoes, which are probably Sigiriya's most popular attraction. Sigiriya is famed for owning some of the oldest landscaped gardens in the world and the mirror wall that has verses dating from as early as the 8th century as well. Climbing the Sigirya Rock is not an easy task and you will pass through some large rock structures.

Sacred City of Kandy

  The tooth in the Temple of the Tooth is revered by Buddhists worldwide. Kandy is generally recognized as Sri Lanka's cultural capital and home to the Temple of the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha, one of Sri Lanka's holiest shrines. If you visit city in July or August, you can experience Kandy Esala Perehera, an annual ritual of the Sacred Tooth Temple.in addition, Kandy is a city set in forested hillnd surrounded by tea plantations. As one of the most beautiful cities of Sri Lanka, it is famous for its scenic beauty and rich cultural value. The rail journey from Colombo to Kandy is highly recommended.
